If you missed today’s FPF, check out the songs featured below!
Lady A – Like A Lady
We kick off this week’s First Play Friday with a playful tune that celebrates women with confidence and empowers females to feel their best in the skin they’re in.
It’s Lady A’s “Like A Lady,” which was co-written by Lady A’s Hillary Scott who said
“I feel my most confident when I’m not trying too hard. I love getting glammed up and all the fancy clothes, but when I feel the most ‘me,’ it’s a lot more laid back – and I think that’s a lot of us. You are your most authentic self in blue jeans with a tequila drink, ya know? As we were writing it, I was like ‘It’s always been my dream to do a song that combines the things I love about Dolly Parton’s ‘9 to 5’ and Shania Twain’s ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman!’ – two of the most strong, powerful female songs ever,” Scott went on to say, “So it was like ‘How can we do our version of that?’”

Don Amero – You Can’t Always Be 21
This song is a culmination of Don’s personal goals, career efforts and continued growth as an artist. The song was written by some of Don’s personal songwriting icons, Charles Kelley (Lady A), Simon Wilcox, Gordie Sampson and Tawgs Salter. The timing for this song has perfectly aligned as Don is on an upward trajectory with this song looking to be the catalyst to push him to the next level. The song also features Canadian Country star, Jess Moskaluke on background vocals.

Lanco – Near Mrs.
LANCO have returned with their brand new single, ‘Near Mrs.’
Written by frontman Brandon Lancaster, Shane McAnally and Jeremy Spillman, the idea behind this one is that the big-picture wins.
“To take last year and turn it into something liberating…it was huge and led to a year of rediscovery for us,” frontman Brandon Lancaster said. “Especially for me as a storyteller.. it’s like, ‘Who is the guy behind ‘Greatest Love Story’ and ‘Born To Love You?’ It’s almost like you can’t move forward until you go back to tell that part of the story.”

Jordan Davis – Need To Not
After signing a record deal with MCA Nashville and racking up over one billion streams of his debut album, Home State, as well as achieving three consecutive No. 1s with “Singles You Up,” “Take It From Me, “Slow Dance In a Parking Lot,” and “Almost Maybes” steady climbing…one thing is evident, he’s a hitmaker who shows no sign of slowing down.
2020 ACM New Male Artist of the Year nominee, Jordan Davis, released a new song that is about “that little voice in your head screaming “You need to not do this man”… wish I would have listened to that voice a little more than I did…#NeedToNot.,” he says.
