If you missed today’s FPF, check out the songs featured below!
NATE SMITH – HEART OF A COUNTRY SONG
Today, we kick off FPF with a new song from an artist who, based on your response and requests, you have fallen in love with.
Nate Smith.
Born and raised in Paradise, California, Nate Smith found his love for music at a very young age and spent his adolescent years developing his craft. His influences include Elvis, Garth Brooks, Bob Seger, Tom Petty and Fleetwood Mac, the latter you can clearly hear on his single “Sleeve”. Nate credits his time spent as a worship leader as his biggest musical inspiration. Today, with mother’s day on Sunday, Nate honors his biggest influences and inspirations – his Mom. In an Instagram post yesterday, he played the new song for his mom and she was incredibly moved and brought to tears. Follow Nate here to see the video. Before you do that, however, take a listen to the song, a tribute to all moms, ”Heart of a country song”
TIM HICKS – HORSES AND HEARTS
Our next FPF song comes from Tim Hicks. It’s the follow up to ‘The Good, The Bad and The Pretty,’ the first new release from Tim since the June 2020 release of his Wreck This EP.
Today, Tim Hicks has given us another little taste of what’s to come when he releases a new EP on May 21, titled “Campfire Troubadour.”

Our last song for FPF comes from Cassadee Pope! Last year, Cassadee released an acoustic solo album “Rise and Shine” but now she is set to release her first new music of the year, the new single titled “What The Stars See” is available everywhere now!
This new one was written by Cassadee with Jake Rose and Lindsey Rimes! It’s been described as an “explosive track” which expresses the desire to peek into someone’s life who is no longer part of your own.
In Cassadee’s own words “I was inspired to write ‘What The Stars See’ after sitting outside one night looking up at the stars, curious what their perspective might be looking down on us. It made me think back to times in my life when I had just come out of a relationship but still felt so connected to the other person. I imagined having the superpower to be among the stars and observe, from their perspective, an ex moving on with their life (ornot).”
This new single features two more amazing artists, Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town and Lindsay Ell. Karen Fairchild also produced the track with Nick Wheeler (Member of rock band The All American Rejects).
