Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman’ at New York Film Festival and Netflix

If you LOVE mob movies, you’re probably a huge Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci fan. Well, all of the above mentioned names AND other top notch actors will star in Scorsese’s upcoming film, The Irishman.

The Irishman is a biographical crime film directed written by Steven Zaillian, based on the book I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt. The film stars Robert De Niro as Frank Sheeran, a labor union leader and alleged hitman for the Bufalino crime family, and Al Pacino as Jimmy Hoffa. Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Anna Paquin, Bobby Cannavale, and Ray Romano also star.

The Irishman is due to be released on Netflix and in select theaters later this year. The film uses state-of-the-art anti-aging digital effects to depict De Niro, Pacino and Pesci’s characters as up to 30 years younger.
