MADDIE & TAE – WOMAN YOU GOT

In 2014, Maddie & Tae’s earned a No.1 hit their debut single “Girl In A Country Song.” They followed it up with the Top 10 hit “Fly” from their debut album, Start Here! In 2019, they returned with a second chart-topper with “Die From A Broken Heart.”

Maddie & Tae have now announced that their 3rd album will come out later this year and with the announcement, they released a new single today.

This up-tempo single kicks off First Play Friday this morning! Listen to “Woman You Got” below!

MEGHAN PATRICK – NEVER GIVING UP ON YOU

Juno Award winning artist, Meghan Patrick, who turned 34 yesterday, is celebrating her birthday with new music. This new one from the two-time CCMA Female Artist of the Year, follows the recent official video release for “My First Car,” which takes us on a biographical ride through Meghan’s early career. Her birthday celebration continues when Meghan takes over Complete Country tomorrow (Mar 27)!

Of the new single Meghan says,

“It’s always been difficult for me to write love songs that felt authentic and real to me without being cliché. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about love in this past year, it’s that it’s not just about romance, sparks and the good times. It’s about continuing to choose that person over and over again, even when things are rough. When I love something, I go all in, but it doesn’t always stick. True love is knowing this about yourself, but realizing you’ve found the one thing (or person) you will never give up on, no matter how hard it gets.”

JUSTIN MOORE – SHE AIN’T MINE NO MORE

Justin Moore will release Straight Outta the Country, the follow up to his 2019 album, Late Nights and Longnecks.

Justin Moore announced the album on his podcast saying “We had three times as many songs as we put on the last album. This, to me, is just kind of an extension of that album. I think if people loved the last one, they’re gonna also love this one.”

The album’s first single is “We Didn’t Have Much,” which was released last fall. Straight Outta the Country will drop on April 23rd.

KELSEA BALLERINI, KENNY CHESNEY – HALF OF MY HOMETOWN

Our 4th FPF song comes from Kelsea Ballerini, who was born and raised in the East Tennessee city of Knoxville. This song, which appears on her 2020 album, Kelsea, is an ode to her hometown.

Ballerini’s first and only choice to be her duet partner on this song was Kenny Chesney because of their Knoxville connection. Kelsea was determined to get him on the track, so as soon as she finished recording her vocal part, she sent it to Chesney, who loved it right away.
